Senior Manager, Project Finance

Compensation: $190,000 - $210,000 base + bonus

Piper Maddox is partnered with a leading utility-scale renewable energy developer and owner/operator is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Finance to support the financing and capital deployment strategy across a growing portfolio of solar and energy storage projects.

This is a highly impactful role sitting at the center of the company’s project financing activity. The individual will play a key role in evaluating, structuring, and supporting execution of tax equity and debt financings, while partnering closely with development, finance, and external capital providers. The role offers strong exposure to deal execution, portfolio strategy, and direct interaction with lenders and investors across the renewable energy market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the structuring and execution of project financing transactions across utility-scale solar and energy storage assets
  • Develop, review, and maintain financial models used to evaluate project economics, financing structures, and investment returns
  • Prepare due diligence materials, financing presentations, and transaction documentation for lenders and investors
  • Evaluate project opportunities and provide recommendations on financing strategy and capital deployment
  • Coordinate with lenders, tax equity investors, advisors, and internal stakeholders throughout active transactions
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior team members supporting transaction execution

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in project finance, tax equity, capital markets, investment banking, or related transaction-focused roles
  • Proven experience within the U.S. utility-scale renewable energy industry
  • Strong understanding of tax equity structures, including partnership flips, sale-leasebacks, and transferable tax credits
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities with the ability to review, refine, and oversee complex project finance models
  • Experience supporting debt financing transactions and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, ownership mentality, and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
