A leading renewable energy provider with a strong track record in solar, energy storage, and EV-charging solutions is seeking a Senior Solar Sales Engineer to drive commercial business development and client engagement efforts. With a reputation for delivering high-quality projects to industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and large-scale commercial facilities, the company is financially strong, debt-free, and well-positioned for continued growth.

This is a client-facing role focused on identifying, developing, and closing high-value commercial solar opportunities. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, strong sales acumen, and the ability to communicate ROI-driven solutions to senior decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for target markets and territories
  • Identify, qualify, and secure commercial solar and energy storage projects
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, site visits, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Deliver tailored business proposals and presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Conduct on-site assessments and analyze customer utility data to design solutions
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Maintain strong, long-term client relationships and serve as the main point of contact throughout the sales process

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in solar, renewable energy, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, site evaluation, and key design criteria
  • Experience presenting ROI, payback, and financial justifications to senior decision-makers
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage complex client relationships and long sales cycles
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and data analysis
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
